Fruit And Other Trees Nursery Kizima
UYDNET fruit and tree nursery was started by a group of youths to germinate varieties of fruit and tree seedlings with scarce seeds to enable farmers in the areas of Mukono and the country over access quality tree seedlings.
UYDNET fruit and tree nursery germinates lemons, oranges, mangoes, passion fruits, tomatoes, coffee seedlings, and a variety of other trees like eucalyptus tree, muvule among others.
After realising the growing fruit juice industry in Uganda, and realizing that fruit growing was still low in Uganda and the fact that most of the fruit industries in Uganda were importing fruits from neighbouring countries like Kenya; all these compiled with research findings, we realized that if communities in Uganda were to benefit from the growing fruit industries, farmers in Uganda needed to increase on the level of production of fruits, these could be bought by fruit industries as raw materials and farmers could benefit from money paid for their fruits to increase their demand levels.

1. High unemployment rate among the youth

3. Limited funds due to lack of access to funding opportunities
