The table below gives a general indication of the payback on the largest micro generation systems (such as System 1). We achieve payback after six years and 4 months but we have included insurance costs and capacity charges in our calculations.
The first 6 year (5 years plus year of installation) selling price is currently 0.618€/kWh (compared to a purchase price of 0.1233€/kWh (now 0.1382€/kWh)). This price reduces as the number of of micro generation installations increase.
For the next 5 years prices cascade down to the tariff price at a rate determined by the installation rate of micro generation
