CO2 Capture

Introduction to the Project

Our company became aware of a government project to finance the growing of carob (alfarrobeira) trees. These trees provide a cash crop as the fruit is used as a substitute for chocolate and is suitable for people suffering from diabetes.

Th government funding scheme provide for the purchase of the trees.

Our business partners own approximately 60,000 sq metres of land in the country side in Southern Portugal. The land is providing some carbon capture at the moment with some ground cover and some eucalyptus trees which will remain on the site.

We are in the process of improving the land in order that carbon capture is increased and the land becomes productive.
